With a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Bachelor of Arts in Directing and Theatre Producing for Avila University. I have over 12 years post-graduate director experience, working primarily in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As a collaborative leader, I have a strong sense for language and a passion for experimentation and new play development. My artistic work focuses on re-imagining classical theatre through experimentation and new play development through a unique concept of creative co-creation. I also have a love for poetry and play development in the Spoken Word genre.
I am founder and Artistic Director of the English-language theatre Down the Rabbit Hole and Co-Artistic Director of Teater Ord/Blindt, which specializes in developing new work combing performance and poetry.
Down The Rabbit Hole is a Copenhagen based international theatre company focused on promoting English-language performing arts, innovative initiatives, and multicultural dynamics. Down The Rabbit Hole presents international theatre that is unique, daring and engaging. Performances are primarily in English.
Founder and co-artistic director, along with spoken word artist Rasmus Rhode. Teater Ord/Blindt most recent production was Nattens Pibere, an audiowalk based on Nis Petersen’s poetry collection. Our other notable projects include Alfabet, a theatre installation at Sydhavn Teater based on Inger Christensen’s poetry collection and Drømmens Faner, a musical theatre production based on the work of Michael Strunge. We have also created the site-specific product Secrets in collaboration with Why Not Theatre and our production Pop!, was awarded Best Performance Art, Best Innovation in Design and Best Vocal Performances at AACT 2014.
